MANAGER ONLY MODE - Can we get a notification when our GM promotes/demotes someone?

Or do I have some setting tweaked somewhere so I don't get these. I keep finding players I wish I'd known about a few games after they've been up there.

A bunch of people have thanked you but that's only to say "great idea," I think.

That's why I thanked him. I'm used to checking the transactions log after each game because I've always had the options set up to be a manager only, but with the new feature it would be nice to be notified.

Yes. Upon reflection, I joined you just now.

This seems to be a hot topic as I've seen a few threads inquiring about this. One can only hope

this feature used to be in OOTP and when I did manager only mode years ago it got so annoying to see roster changes like every 2 to 3 days. Was glad they got rid of that after a while

Bah good point I can see where it could get annoying. Perhaps an option to be notified about certain players...but that seems a stretch.

Would like to see it at least for promotions to the majors or at least something you can turn on and off to each level.

Or an option to turn it on or off - just like everything else in the game.

It would be nice if the GM gave the manager a phone call to discuss what moves might be made

I don't even need any AI involved. Just a notification email if something changed with the big league roster. A GM would certainly notify the manager if his starting second baseman was getting demoted or cut.

Although I have not "managed only" yet, I know I surely will soon. I agree and sympathize with the frustration of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing with regards to transactions that effect the manager's lineup.

After this happened once, I think a call to the owner would straighten this out quickly so it doesn't happen again.

Any form of organization "memo" to the manager's office would add realism to the game. I hope it is being considered.

When I was manager at the minor leagues I got regular mails telling me that players have been moved... up or down, both directions, or released players as well.
Are you talking about this?

I just got this email as manager of the Mets. Never got one like it before. Was this added with the new patch? If so, awesome!

Yes. I found a way to re-use the email that you would get if you were a minor league manager. I'm not 100% certain that it will cover every possible transaction, but it definitely should help you out when you lose a player through trade or demotion.

Very cool! I did have Daniel Murphy get put on waivers with no notification so if waivers can be added to the triggers for this in a future patch that would be awesome. This is a major help though. Thanks again.

Will it include players added as well? If not, that would be a perfect addition to those emails.

My question to Matt would be in MGR mode will the movement up and down will be much less frequent. Minor leagues do not make many changes during season ...years ago when I did MGR mode it was way too frequent while managing a minor league team

It doesn't seem to move guys too much. I am going to try the mode with the patch because moving all parts takes a ton of time and I just wanna play
