I purchased the game on STEAM (3/26/2015) thinking that it was available. I have tried to play a league (historical 1954) and it worked in most ways, but I had one problem that I am aware of (ticket 12077). If I understand your warning about release date, I may have tried playing before the release was officially available, and that could be my problem. NOTE: I am using version 16.2, build 9 with Windows 7 (home premium - service pack 1)

Please advise.

Bench coach was awarded manager of the year when he was appointed as the new manager once the original manager retired at the end of the season.

This may have happened because the switch in managers was before the award was announced obviously.

Gold Glove winners were not announced in my ABF league 1943. I converted the day of the Offseason.

Also Indy league players who win awards dont have the icons on their profile compared to ML players. Is that by design? Both players below both won the pitcher of the year and MVP in their respective leagues.

HOF voting remainder not showing up in league events.

It seems all my draft picks go to the lowest overall level (I use the Mets, so that level and team is the New York (DSL) Mets 2), when last year they went to the lowest, non-foreign level, which would be New York (GCL) Mets.

Not really a bug, but the only players allowed on DSL and VSL teams are players not from Canada, United States, and Puerto Rico... and have not been drafted in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

My team, the Expos are playing the Mets. It is September and we have a series each home and away.
The second game of the away series, the game is suspended because of bad weather after seven
with a 0-0 score. The game is scheduled to be competed with the next meeting,but it is a home series.
Should the game be played on a new day or be not completed because the series is on no importance?
Earlier in the season I had two games that were rained out and were to be completed later in the series.
One was played recently and the Expos won a game in the middle of a 12 game losing streak. But the
win does not count in the streak column of the standings.

I cannot load box scores and schedules on the steam version.

When I try to open schedules from the team screen the error TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_file - cannot open template file team_scheduler_page.tpl pops up. I press OK and then the error load_templates() - could not load template boxscores_page.tpl pops up. I press OK and the error TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_from_cache - could not load templates pops up. I press OK and the error TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_templates_file - could not load template file team_scheduler_page_link_current.tpl pops up. I press OK and the error TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_templates_file - cannot open template file team_scheduler_page_link_other.tpl pops up. When I go to open a saved game, at 30%(when loading nation flags) the error TEMPLATES_ENGINES::load_templates_file - cannot open template file boxscores_page.tpl pops up. I press OK and the error load_templates() - could not load template boxscores_page.tpl pops up. I press OK and it brings me to my game, but I cannot view any boxscores.

This might be that I downloaded the game wrong, but I was wondering if you could help me and I hope this helped explain my problem, thanks.

Patch#1 Quick Start load playing on Patch#2 build. Really high contract demands still an issue. Old guys like Bautista wants 36M per and Zobrist wants Stanton money. Jose Lopes returns from Japan to a 7 year 14M per offer. This might be a bug.

Love the game, but my roster will be pretty bare if guys are unsignable. Dexter Fowler wants 16M per and Aramis Ramirez is asking for 15M per at age 37.

I just purchased the game on Steam tonight. Every time I try to type in the manager's name, or I press "tab" to go from one name field to the next when naming fictional teams, the steam overlay pops up and freezes the game, and I have to quit via Task Manager.

I'm not hitting shift-Tab, this is just happening when tab is pressed, or when typing in manager names. Basically bricks the game.

Update to build 16.2.9 tonight. It was working fine before the update. Now I'm getting OOTP 16 has stopped working.

I made an offer to a new manager to replace the unsatisfactory incumbent. The new guy accepted, and a news story appeared about the old manager's firing. But the news never announced who had replaced him. Not real important, since I knew whom I had hired, but odd.

This happens when the GM replaces someone on my roster. He doesn't get removed from my saved lineups and caused the stats bug seen in the screenshot.

Bit of a bug with playoff series MVP's. It seems that a few series will be missing an mvp for it. Perhaps as there are more series than in real life. Try a league that has 16 teams making the playoff for 7 game series each, then see if each series gets an mvp. About 13-14 of them will, 2 will be missing. There is an example in the second screen shot of a missing mvp.
And before anyone asks, yes I do scroll right to the bottom of the middle section. When missing they end with the final game of the series.

I fixed this by going into Commissioner Mode, going to the empty team's Rosters and Transactions area, and selecting Available Actions and "Fill team with fictional players." Even though the team had no money, it let me populate the roster with half-star-rated players.
