"Creating Baseball Card"
I opened the game this evening with the game date at July 12, 2015. It said it was "Creating Baseball Card" and it took forever. Who is the game creating cards for and why does it take so long? My PC is only ~8 months old so I don't think my PC is bogged down, but, I'm not tech savvy enough to determine if my PC may be the cause.
Any way for me to determine what is causing this issue? |

i have been having the same delay/lag problem. i assumed "creating baseball card" was just something it said when updating the database because it would happen at random intervals.
did turning that feature off have any affect for you? thanks |

I think it's All-Stars and awards by default. HOF is done when you go to the HOF page.
All-Stars is the biggest wait, because you will have 60 cards to generate all at once. Even on a pretty strong laptop I've found it could take up to a second or 2 per card, so it could be a wait of 1-2 minutes on that date. Really not a long time when you think about it, but in our era of fast everything, it's brutally noticeable. We'll look into seeing if there's any small fixes we can do over the summer to speed this up. It's on our list of things to look into. |

As he explained the All Star roster generates some 60 baseball cards and that takes some time. That is why you had those slow downs. Turn off the cards and it doesn't generate them.

Yep. I have already done that. As noted in my post above. I was just letting him know it what I was experiencing since he mentioned it might take a minute or two. I wanted him to know it was taking significantly longer for me in the off-chance there may be an issue with other users.

Yes, it could definitely be longer than that.
