Enter, wireman. Who weaved his magic on my creation of a fictional league with many other great owners. I just wish I'd have done better to keep it going. And many people put a lot of heart into it to help keep it alive.... what an amazing thing it was and thank you to everyone who spent time with us. Brings a tear to my eye.

Stuff like this can still be done with the OOTP engine, and even better now with how far its come. Just, get creative, dive in! You'll not regret it.

this stuff really happened in our league, and so much more over the years, there's a ton more writing and lore but wireman was just the ace of the crew of gentleman.... from the writing post. Many others who's names are on my mind but I can't even begin to try to name you all because I don't know if you want your real names or your OOTP names here..... well... you know. But I remember you all.

Laseron was my favorite place to be. I had three teams in the LBA, but my long run at Summerwind was most memorable to me. Bondie, Harry Gelton, Zaq Packard -- even Mange -- they're all real people to me.

I still have many of the stories I wrote for the league on my hard drive; it's nice to be able to go back and relive some of the old memories once in a while.

Many thanks to Goody and everyone else in Laseron for one of the best experiences of my life.

Would be cool if you posted some of the stories somewhere. When the lba webspace finally went away and the forum was no longer there I didn't realize how much I'd miss the reminiscing.

A small snippet from an online league of the past. The creativity that can be born from lots of people coming together using Markus's game to create another reality. I threw the world of Laseron out there and wireman and others came to enjoy and flourish in it. We had a wonderful time getting to know the characters and making up the stories around Markus's game. I'm actually surprised there's not more leagues like this one because my running of it was so off and on but he provided us the tools to do so much...

Seeing creative people use my foundation and us all enjoying it together. Hard to put into words... and I regret every day that I didn't keep it going longer and more consistently.

2nd iteration of Laseron which didn't pan out, but we had cool maps and a whole league file with all the cities and towns and name files for the whole world. Yeah it was a big undertaking... and almost was really cool. Now i'm holding onto all the work like a jerk.

Spent hours and hours working on name files, city files, world files.. etc etc....

Laseron 2 started but faltered. But I'd still like to see it go to go use or at least be remembered.

So your rookies would be generated from this world and some would be from the smaller towns but more often from the big cities. Markus's game just lent itself to doing something like this. This is one map of many making up the world of Laseron. Laseron 1 was much more simple, based off something I made up in a box as a kid with some rocks and dirt with water poured over it. The stories wireman posted were from Laseron 1 here on OOTP. Laseron 2 had much more depth but less came of it. My fault.
