All Star league

Hi I'm new to OOTP and I am trying to make a league with different historical teams.I.e. the 1920 Yankees and the 1930 Athletics and the 1931 Cardinals etc. Can this be done? And if it can be done how do I set it up? I can't seem to make it as a custom league. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help.
