https://cloudup.com/cb6_jrM-SGC (I'm using 1440 x 900 windowed). But this also happens on full screen. Also, this is still an issue, maybe related in some way: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post3835731 |

Thanks, James. If only everyone else provided this much information when reporting bugs. It would help considerably!

I have an issue where on the minor league teams, the AI seems to be using random pitchers as starters. Despite only having 5 pitchers listed as SP's, the AI is using RP's to start games. For example, at AAA Pawtucket my SP's are:
Brian Johnson (appeared in 8 games - 0 starts) Henry Owens (appeared in 10 games - 1 start) Eduardo Rodriguez (appeared in 15 games - 0 starts) Edwin Escobar (appeared in 11 games - 0 starts) Joe Kelly (appeared in 12 games - 0 starts) There is no logical reason that these players shouldn't be starting games. Out of the relievers on this team, a bunch of them have 3-10 games started. For example, Dalier Hinojosa has appear in 29 games and started 5. He's a reliever and shouldn't be starting any games. |

I've found a major bias towards human managers winning games. I've been able to repeat the problem again and again.
Full explanation is here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...imulation.html

Bob Welch is in the game as a pitching coach. It is the same birthday as the real Bob Welch, so I'm assuming it was intended to be him. Bob Welch died last year IRL. Not a big deal, but maybe something to consider from an authenticity stand point.

I saw the all-star voting issue with pitchers, as well. Outside of those minor things, loving the game. Great work devs! |

I have discovered a fairly major issue with historical roster management by the AI: On some AI managed teams the active MLB rosters are not being filled out completely to 25 players - instead keeping some players (and some good ones) in the minor leagues, especially pitchers. I started an historical league in 1954. I found this issue in mid-May 1954 after seeing that the White Sox beat the Athletics 36-4. The box score shows that the losing pitcher on the Athletics J. Gray pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 22 hits and 19 ER while throwing an amazing 264 pitches. He was relieved by A. Kellner, who pitched the rest of the game (obviously mopping up!). Here is the problem: The Athletics only have 5 pitchers on their active MLB roster and only 19 total players on their total active roster (out of 25). BUT, down in the minor leagues they have 11 pitchers! So, something is obviously wrong with the AI logic. (All other teams have 25 men on their active rosters except for the Orioles who have 21). This is obviously something that needs to be addressed. I am using version 16.2.9. Thanks!

Apologies for making this long...but it's the only way to describe it. Further apologies if this has been brought up already. Also, I'd love to make a screenshot or two but I don't know what I want it to create. Anyway:
If you have a fictional major league with two subleagues that have an odd number of teams in each, and you try to create minors for that league, it is impossible to create certain setups. I'll use the MLB style setup you get with the wizard as an example, though it applies to many, smaller, leagues like this. Here are the steps: 1. Whenever you assign minor leagues that attempt to mimic the 30-team major league setup, you'll always get division 1 of subleague 1 to have 4 teams and division 1 of subleague 2 always has 6 teams while the others have 5. That's okay, I guess, but it contributes to the issues. 2. Division 1 of Subleague 2 can freely be altered to any total, odd or even. 3. Division 1 of Subleague 1 can't EVER be directly altered to an odd number. 4. When you edit the above division to an odd number, a team is removed from subleague 1's division 1, while one is always added to subleague 2's division 1. In other words, if I want a 5 team division, it will automatically go to 4 while giving me 6 in the other league. Now, if I want to keep attempting this, a team is always added to the other division 1. 5. With multiple divisions, most adjustments to divisions 2, 3, and so on have a similar effect. If I adjust the divisions (both with more and fewer teams), it will constantly remove a team from the first division 1 and add to the second again. If I keep doing that, it will keep going down and go below two if I let it. There, I think you can do odd numbered divisions, but I've yet to figure it out completely. I know the workaround is to not do such setups, but the leagues I'm setting up almost require odd numbers as I'm mirroring real-life competitions. Anyway, that's all. To Markus and the rest of the crew, I hope this all makes sense and can be replicated as I've suggested. |

Money Management?
So, today I was offered a trade I didn't care for. I thought about trying to negotiate it into something that might help both our organizations.
I pulled the players from both sides out of the trade, but I then realized that I hadn't zeroed out the money they were offering. I decided to throw a dollar at their offer to see them get indignant. This was the result. For testing purposes, I tried to complete the trade. Not only did it work, the other team was willing to do it again. Same deal.

Ya don't? I hope they eventually open up a forum to post individual bugs instead of this long thread that I can't find anything in and have no idea if it's a bug or something to do with me. Hard to follow.

Not a bad idea. Then the developers could inform you if a fix was made, if more info is needed, etc.

I can't say that it's a bug or if it's working as intended; but I'm curious whether or not a player refusing assignment to the minors is working in manager mode. I played a couple test seasons in GM and I couldn't get Ervin Santana or Blaine Boyer (Twins) to accept an assignment. In manager mode, both were assigned to the minors and are playing there.
Just curious if it's working as intended and I just suck convincing players to go to the minors. |

All Star Game Performance of the Day bug
This might extend to regular games too. I have not checked.
Prince Fielder was chosen player of the game in a losing effort to the national league. The remaining highlighted players were on the winning team but the game shows that they were part of a losing effort. |

Error in 3-Way Tiebreaker for 1 Wild Card Spot.
I had a few 3-way tiebreakers (and even 4-way) in 16.1.5 but they were all handled correctly. But in 16.2.9, I just had my first 3-way tiebreak since 16.2.9, but it was handled wrongly.
Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners all tied with 85-77 for the Second Wild Card slot. For those that are interested, the 3 division winners are Toronto Blue Jays (84-78), Cleveland Indians (87-75) and Oakland Athletics (91-71) and the First Wild Card Club is Chicago White Sox with 86-76. As for the tiebreakers, they just had Detroit Tigers play Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers won this game. Then the game put Detroit Tigers through and then the playoffs has started. By right, the winner of this game (i.e. Detroit Tigers is supposed to host Los Angeles Angels and the winner will then be the Second Wild Card Club. |

Hi all - don't know if this issue has been raised or not. Just bought on steam, started a standard game, and when I try to type a name for my manager the steam overlay pops up and everything completely freezes. I've tried everything I can think of, but the only way to exit out is using windows task manager to shut the whole program down.
