Play-by-Play controls
Loving the game
![]() I have a couple of questions related to play by play controls. 1. When batting, why can't I take a pitch with two strikes? 2. Pitching - what is the difference between pitch and pitch to contact? Thnx in advance |

1. I'd imagine because the developer couldn't imagine you'd want to just take a pitch with two strikes? I'm curious as to the thinking behind such a move.
2. I think just that the latter is more likely to lead to a ball in play. |

If the pitcher is batting, and he's is known to swing at anything, I thinking the take sign with 2 strikes is a smart strategy. It increase the chances of getting the free swinging pitcher on base via the walk.

You cannot give a hitter a take sign with 2 strikes.....geez!
If I am at bat and you flash me that sign, I'm afraid I must have missed it..... |

If I tell you to not swing, then you strike out on a pitch that bounces 10 feet in front of the plate, then you can go play for someone else.
edit : geez! |
