I downloaded OOTP 16 and get this message
I have downloaded the game file from the links provided in the forum. I planned on purchasing an activation key when prompted, but, each time I have downloaded the file I get this message:
"Archive Integrity Check Failed. The setup file is not complete, possibly due to an incomplete download or corrupted file" Can anyone assist? Would love to throw $40 Markus' way lol |

I got that the first couple tries too. It worked when I tried from the mirror site, so you could try that. Otherwise, it's just keep re-downloading, unless someone else has a solution.

Mirror site was a no-go as well. I keep getting the same message.

Must just be bad luck like mine. Just keep trying I guess. Took me 3 tries total to get a good installer. (I have patch #1 downloading now, so I hope it doesn't do it again. It's been working on this download for at least a half-hour with another 25 min to go).

I'll keep trying. Any ideas what might cause this message? I have downloaded three times already, I wouldn't want to keep downloading the same file over and over.

No clue as to the cause, unfortunately.

4th time and still getting the same message. Can anyone from the team shed some light or look into this? So strange that this is happening.

Could be that the download is cutting off before you've gotten the whole file. If you're downloading the PC version, the full file should be 938 MB. If yours is less than that, then that's the problem.
If not, then I don't know... |

I just watched the download meter on the PC and I think that is it. However, I don't know what would cause that. Any ideas? The initial download was 639 MB, the other 4 attempts have been 319-320 MB

You can fix this by improving the integrity of the archive.
Also, make sure you have downloaded the complete file. |

I had this once with what appeared to be a complete file, but my patch file apparently cut off at 880MB. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Try turning off your firewall. It worked for me.

You should try a download manager so that you can resume downloading if it quits. |

I kept having this problem on early release day. The download kept failing about 7/9ths of the way through and there was no way to resume it, I had to start over. I downloaded a temporarily free download manager called GetRight and entered both mirrors in on the download and it finished all the way.

You may want to try using a download manager.

Do you think it might be better to DL through Steam?

Clear your browser cache before downloading again. Sometimes the link for the bad file will stick in there.

If you use Firefox (and you should), DownThemAll! is a good, free download manager that I utilize.
