I wanted to post that too, but Wikipedia says Millville and Baseball reference says Vineland. Last year in OOTP 15 I think it was Milleville too. Which is it!

Another note, Chris B. Young of the Yankees shows stats with the Mariners from 2014. I'm assuming he is being cross referenced with the pitcher.

A couple of Red Sox notes I’ve seen outside of Nava and Victorino (since they will be fixed in the next patch). If I’m completely wrong about something let me know. 1) Daniel Nava played some 1B last year (only 11 games, I know) and has been playing 1B in spring training, but he doesn’t have any infield ratings. 2) Rusney Castillo is listed as having 4 weeks of injury time left, but he is back in spring training and played today before the rainout. He should be healthy by opening day. 3) This may be an AI issue, but Blake Swihart starts in Low-A Salem. He didn’t spend any time below Double-A last year, and even spent time in Triple-A. 4) Xander Bogaerts played a lot at 3B last year (99 games), but he only has a 25/200 experience rating there. Again, let me know if I am way off-base on any of these. I’m sure there are some subtleties of the game that I may not be aware of. Thanks for another great game guys. Also, I just looked at Rusney Castillo, and he doesn't have an experience rating in right field. Thanks! |

In OOTP the sinker is a farily special pitch, reserved for true sinkerballers like Derek Lowe, Justin Masterson etc. We don't give a sinker to everyone that throws a two-seamer.

The AI chooses where to assign minor leaguers, based on their ratings. In Swihart's case, his current ratings were low, so the AI assigned him to a lower minor league level than it should have to match real life. His current ratings have been boosted, so in the next patch, the AI will assign him to a higher minor league level.

Brewers GM Doug Melvin is listed as being from Memphis, TN. He is most definitely not from the south, quite the opposite in fact. He's a Canadian! Born in Chatham, Ontario.

Was told to post in here and it would be sorted if it's an AI issue, which I think it is. 7/18: Turner recalled from AAA, Coke DFA 7/19: Turner DFA, Wood Called Up 7/21: Turner assigned to AAA, Wood sent to AAA, Coke called up

Another coaching note: Tony Pena, Sr. is listed as the Yankee's bench coach. It should be Rob Thomson. I think this was mentioned earlier in this thread, well before today's patch, but it must have gotten missed...

Some Cardinals things. 1. Lance Lynn is way too underrated. Also, he has maxed out is potential in game. 44 overall and potential is too low. I'd put his overall on par with Wacha, but not his potential. 2. John Lackey is also too low rated. 44 OVR is about 10-12 too low. 3. Carlos Martinez should be listed as a SP. 4. Seth Maness is a ground ball machine. Needs his sinker in game, also his change up. 5. Sam Tuivailala is rated too highly. 6. Magneuris Sierra should be a CF. 7. Peter Bourjos hitting ratings are too high. Jay might also need to be tweaked. 8. Mark Reynolds is rated higher than Matt Adams. Adams Defensive ratings are too low. Was very good defensively for the Cardinals last season. 9. Jaime Garcia's injury history is Normal. He wishes. Dude has had every arm surgery imaginable. That being said, he might need a boost in ratings but a severe decrease in durability. 10. The 40-man roster is not correct. 11. Trevor Rosenthal needs better fielding ratings. Was a college SS. 12. Randy Choate could use a significant ratings decrease. Gets torched vs right-handers. 13. Carlos Martinez needs a sinker. Can get his sinker up to 98! MPH. 14. Mason Katz is being moved to catcher this season. Sorry if this seems awful nitpicky. It's not meant to be at all. You guys did an outstanding job on these. |

I'll comment on all these at some point but just to hit this one for now, we don't set the 40 man rosters, we let the ai choose its own. If we set the rosters it creates issues, the ai waives tons of guys, including some it shouldn't, there are too many waiver claims and movement and some other stuff as well.

Well, we wanted to keep Pena with the Yankees in the set, so we moved him to bench coach.
