The WS recap stories don't always mention the MVP, as those stories were written before. We're slowly adapting them to the new model. You can still see who the MVP if you go to the standings page for the playoff round, below the games.

I love the new owner goals and how they can change throughout the year.

I am playing the Mets and Fred said he wanted an upgrade at 1b. I traded away Duda and picked up Victor Martinez and it stated my goal had been met. Then VM gets hurt and was out 2 months. Got half way through the season and Fred sends me an email stating that Yes I did meet the goal at first but now VM is just not working out and I should find a replacement.

One issue and I am wondering if its a bug, I was asked by Fred to get a hometown player. I traded for a reliever from NY, NY and placed him on my 25/40 and did not get notice that I reached the goal. Also, the half way email from Fred stated I needed to work on that and I had 1 year left to fulfill that goal.

Still a nice addition to the owners personality and communication.

Another awesome addition is the email you get when your minor league staff's contracts are coming up. Makes it easier/faster to keep track of what staff your about to lose and if you want to offer extensions.

Opposition lineup when you're selecting your team is nice. That it automatically changes their lineup if you put switch the handedness of your SP is doubly nice.

I didn't see it in a news story, I saw it as an icon on the player's page.

Pretty sure the mail I got from my bench coach updating me on the team's clubhouse chemistry situation is new, as well.

The Trade Log is pretty awesome.

Edit: But it would be even better if the "Acquired" link for players who were traded to a team would hotlink directly to that trade, instead of the top of the Trade Log.

The pennant chase page is a lot of fun. After a horrible start, my 2015 Mets turned things around and became the only contender against the Nats in the NL East, coming within 1/2 a game of first place at one point. I skimmed the last 25 or so games a day at a time, staring at the pennant chase screen and my odds to win. It came down to the final series of the season, against the Nats, who lost Harper to injury a few days before that series began. If I could win all three games I'd take the division. I won the first game, but in the second game Strasburg threw 8.1 shut out innings, compared to Raphael Montero's 6 runs in 4.1 innings.

Next year!

Yeah, that is probably my new minor addition. The odds to make the playoffs are awesome.

A note on the "e"s on the standings to signal an eliminated team, I think it would be cool to see an elimination/tragic number, so you know how much time you have left before you are eliminated.

Another 'nice to see feature' that I haven't noticed anyone else mention is the 'Show Contract Info' drop-down option when reviewing the rosters & transactions overview page. In the past you could switch between ratings and stats.

This year you can now see contract info as well. A nice touch to save clicks!

So may have been mentioned here and there are so many more but....
MULTIPLE SHORTLISTS ....
Life just got a bit easier

OOTP is becoming so polished, it is just an incredible game and achievment and it all comes from a small developer, wow! I'd love for sales to hit a point where SEGA has to sit back and say "damn boys forcing SI to cut OOTP loose was a huge mistake, we sure missed out there."

having your opponent's lineup on screen (next to the bullpen) when looking at your team in-game is a nice addition.

What does this do? I mean why would someone need more than one shortlist? Maybe I don't understand

I use 0 shortlists, but I know some people wanted one shortlist for prospects, one for guys they've traded, one for guys who you might be interested in trading for, etc...

I keep one for prospects & another for players not currently in my org. will probably keep a separate one now for draft prospects leading up to the draft & keep an eye on them after they are drafted.

it became a mess in previous versions (after a few years) with my own prospects, players from other teams (usually minors) & the players I shortlisted leading up to the draft on one big list.

Ok.. that makes sense, thanks.

Typically I use one for everything, but now I see how this is useful!
