Talking Because, of course

So, I fired up a quick 2015 season, to get used to the new features and stuff. One of the first things I did was get the Mets a SS. Went big w/ Tulo (acquired him for Niese, Montero, Urena, Puello & Flores)....

And in typical Mets fashion, Tulo suffers a torn labrum in his first (HIS FIRST) at-bat and....

Now his CAREER is over!

Now, Mets fans, tell me this isn't EXACTLY what would happen if we acquired him?

I love this game. I'm frustrated, but I love this game.

Tulo got hurt? I'm shocked.

Yeah, that seems like a pretty uneven trade.

But that sucks in regards to the injury.

... and now in the 7th game of the season, Cuddyer goes down for 5 months with a broken hand.

Let's just hope that doesn't happen in the Mets real season.

As a lifelong Met fan/Mets GM (in OOTP), this makes PERFECT sense.

I was one of the few voices screaming "NO TULO!" in the off-season. I feel validated.

Tough break for your team, though. Let's Go Mets!

By the way, my untouched Met roster is in dead last at the end of May. Did you notice how anemic the offense is? Wright coming around, finally, but everyone else is sucking wind.

Yup, I'm of the "No Tulo!" camp. I just figured I'd try it out.

What injury setting are you using?

Everything was on the default, out of the box settings.

I believe the default is the classic mode. Some have reported to set it to low instead.

I'll just leave this one here. Same season, by the way.

In a semi-related note (but one you'll appreciate), in my game, Matt Harvey's comeback from Tommy John lasted 2 starts before he tore his UCL and had to undergo season-ending TJS again.

Well, a few trades and 6 months down the road, the Mets finish 17 back, 4th place. Harvey and Degrom had great years, no major injuries, and I traded a sub.200 batting Flores before the deadline. Hoping 2016 is better.

Even more good news for Mets fans.

I checked the ratings of the prospects in the op's trade, and it seems Puello was pretty overrated. He'll be nerfed quite a bit next patch

I wondered about that. He ended up making the roster out of spring training but was injured and ended up looking ok overall: .276
with a 1.2 WAR. So much for that.

Well, it's more his potential that was too high than his currents. Though I did take away a bit of speed.

I knocked Flores D down a bit as well.

In spite of all that, I'm actually a Mets fan. Not that anyone could tell from this thread
