One other question on a terrific new feature: Is the last day for voting on the All-Star game the day before rosters are announced?

The answer to your question is yes. It is harder for a pitcher to win the MVP award (as in real life).

My feedback (warning this is real nit-picky): I noticed that when you are an MLB team screen, the page background is the primary color of the team (Orioles = orange, Royals = blue, etc...) but when you go to any of the minor league teams it's a generic gray color. Is this a by-product of the new skin or am I missing an option in the settings?

It's set that way. all Non MLB teams use a default pic for the background. You can create your own and place it in the Backgrounds folder. To choose a new background pic, go to team settings and on the left next to Background Picture, click "Select File".

Not a big deal but...

I started an historical season.
Everything was going great until in the middle of the second game when I decided to check out the different field views instead of the usual broadcast view. Webcast went well but later towards the end of that game I tried to switch to the new 3-D feature when the game crashed and erased my young season.

Darn it!!

Two suggestions. On the broadcast screen when playing out games:

On the right, the quick box scores, the visiting team should be on top.

Also, when my team is batting it would be helpful to have my pitcher's total pitches displayed somewhere on the screen. Maybe to the right of his name in the line-up? At points in the game I may decide to pinch hit or not based on whether he might be tired. Would be helpful to have that readily available.

Maybe this is just me, but is anyone having an issue with the AI refusing to let you keep a player in the minors? I'm on GM/Manager mode, and have all of the promotions/demotions set up but the game will not stop bringing up a rookie I don't want on the MLB roster. I've demoted him about 7 times, but the moment I sim 1 game, he's back in the starting rotation.

Initially, it's listed on the playoff page below the score results of the playoff series games. I haven't looked to see if they are listed in the the history pages, like the other award winners are.

Freeze the roster on the MLB team (team settings) and that won't happen.

I'll give that a try. I've been OOTP'ing since 13 and haven't had this issue. I appreciate it!

Will roster freezing still allow me to set up AI Promotions/Demotions and signing Minor League FA's? Or will that stop, top to bottom, the AI from adding anyone on the roster? (I usually set those things to AI so I can focus more on the MLB day to day instead of the grind of checking the Rookie Ball team)

You will have to manually move players. I think there is another way to prevent a player from moving but can't recall for the time being.

Lame. Is this a current bug or just something I'm going to have to deal with '16 for the length? I'd hate to have to micromanage the minors all of a sudden!

(Also if you have no clue, I understand. New to the forum, but decently experienced to the game)

Actually the game erased all changes I had made including adding all historical uniforms, league settings, playoff settings etc. Started up the game again and 3-D crashed it again. ugh...No 3-D for me until a later time. Everthing else is fantastic and smooth. FaceGen is much improved!!!

You could always add a better player on the team and chances are he will stay in the minors.

I'm doing an expansion draft and acquired Taillon through trade. My team is hot garbage. I've tried to bring up other players and put them in the rotation, but the very next day the AI has reset my lineup, rotation, and brought him back up. Despite having all these options set to user manager.

Freeze roster worked...but it harms my other options.

Bah. First world problems hah.

1908 - everything you used to do in OOTP15 should still work in OOTP16. So there must be some kind of setting that's wrong somewhere. I gather you're not in Commissioner mode and only 'Acting As' your team? That's one reason this would happen. If that's not it, then I'd suggest glancing at your Manager Settings one more time and confirming they all look okay. And if those look okay, I'm not sure what the issue is, but you should still be able to play how you used to, so hopefully someone else has an idea!
