Screen resolution and scaling with Surface 3
I have a Surface 3 with a screen resolution of 2160x1440. It seems like the game won't let me use the full resolution. Running full screen or maximized it seems like there is some scaling going on.
On one hand I like it, because buttons and links are more touchable, but on the other hand I cannot fit nearly as much information on the screen as I could in OOTP15. This is especially a problem on the in-game broadcast screen where elements are overlapping and on top of each other. Is this intentional? Am I missing a setting somewhere? |

Did you exit and restart OOTP after changing the setting?

Having sp3 issues to. I am not able to get anything bigger then 1440 x 921. Also if I select full screen I get the following error:
APP_Framework:: set_full_screen _ unable to open graphics I'll get this posted in the tech forum. |

Confirmed issue on high DPI displays. I have 3200x1800 and it isn't working right for me.

Can you post a screenshot please in the bug report thread in the tech support forum? We'll work on that for a future patch then.

I cannot get the game to install and open on a Dell XPS 15 laptop as with previous versions and it seems to be an issue with a conflict in screen resolution (which is set 1920x1080. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling three times, but it just gets to main screen and freezes. I finally submitted a support ticket. I've occasionally had activation problems in the past when servers were busy, but first time in all the versions I've purchased having issues actually installing. Pretty frustrating after looking forward to release.

Was able to get a work around on my surface pro 3. Went to screen resolution. Clicked on make text and other items larger or smaller. Then I changed the slider to the smaller setting.
Full screen works and I'm getting my resolution at 2160 x 1440. The bad with this, my windows icons are really really small. |

SP3 users I would love to hear your experience reviews a few days from now when the newness wears off. In the market for a SP3 and OOTP usability might push me to buy now not later.

I bought my current surface for the sole purpose of playing ootp. I have played ootp on the pro and pro 2. I'll let you know how it does on the pro 3.

Can you download this test app to see whats happening pls..
https://www.pisd.co.uk/webstore/down...st-windows.zip Once installed, start the app. Use the right arrow to change to page 5 and press F2 to change to fullscreen mode. Then press escape to quit the app. Go to the "C:\Platform_Test\data\debug" folder and email me all the text files in that directory to someone@pisd.co.uk. Thanks... |

I sent mine.... I hope this was legit and I didn't just install a virus on my machine...
"someone@pisd.co.uk" seems a little fishy...

I have now received two emails with these file and I am sad to say there are no errors reported. What happened when you hit the F2 key? Did the fullscreen work or did you get bizarre happenings? |

Oddly enough, I don't seem to have a debug folder with the test app you linked. That said, I had no issues when going fullscreen with it.

In the test app, full screen works, but the resolution is 640x480. I think the issue is that it isn't using the full/current resolution of the machine.
