As fleek as that is, I think it relies heavily on the NHL logos. What I like about what the design team has is that is fits with what they have to work with. I hope that in the future, if the rights are ever aquired, they turn to something this fly.

But until then I like what they have, beside the corney trophy. I'd prefer something similarly styled but more like the real Cup, like this:

The trophy image is just a placeholder, Daniela will make a better fitting graphic when she is done with OOTP.

Thanks for the feedback, we will adjust the screen based on it.

For all those asking for the Stanley Cup to be pictured... I could be wrong about this, but I would assume the likeness of the Stanley Cup is just the same as the team logos, etc.. Something copyrighted that we wouldn't be able to use in game without a license.

Just something worth looking into, the likeness of the Stanley Cup does not actually belong to the NHL. It is a Charitable Trust and "owned" by Brian O'Neill and Scotty Morrison. If FHM has a legal team they should look into trust law and see if there is a way around it. I feel like the likeness of the Cup would be a nice step for the game.

Technically the NHL doesn't own it, they just basically lease it's use. All you'd have to do is contact the trustee's and find out if can be used without a monetary return. The NHL can't really do a thing about it.

It would be ideal to ship with that regular placeholder but make it customizable per league so that the user can replace it similarly to adding in logos. That way we can have the Stanley Cup in the NHL, the Memorial Cup in the CHL, the Gagarin Cup in the KHL, and so on with a mod.

Coincidently ootp baseball tends to mix it up too so I'm used to east shortside. Either way it sounds like it will be a great playoff tree with those minor tweaks

Been lurking these forums for a long time and will be one of the first in line to buy FHM 2 but to the makers of this game please for the life of you move the East to the right side and the West to the left side. I don't if with my ocd i could handle playing this game with the Conferences on the wrong side.

yeah, too bad...luckily in RL they are about to extend it so i'm happy

as for the screen i like it and if the cup image will be customizable just like the logos it would be great...

They actually had to delete 14 NHL teams before taking the screenshot. The Red Wings were one of those deleted. They can't miss out on marketing to Leafs Nation!

There are no official licenses but the rosters, teams and affiliates are all in. Mods provide logo packs.
