Rust question regarding playoffs

We are thinking of setting up a playoff system where 5 teams makes the playoffs, but the best overall team gets a "double-bye". So 2 v. 5, 3 v. 4; winners play each other. Winner of that gets to play 1.

Two questions about this.

1) Is it technically feasible within the game?

2) Would 'rust' become a factor? Would the team that has two weeks off be rusty for the start of the LCS?

I know there is rust that needs to be shaken off by playing in spring training, but does something similar happen if players don't play for an extended time during the season?

Also, if so, is this something that could easily be removed by using the editor?

Thanks for any help.

No, OOTP cannot do double byes. You can have byes in the first round and that's it.
