No player photos for OOTP16?

I LOVE the new screenshots for OOTP16 especially the officially licensed MLB logos, but I couldn't help but notice that there aren't any photos of the players. Will Facegen and player photos still be available?

Seeing as how the game is actually licensed now, I'm pretty sure they'll have real portraits for the players. I really really doubt facegen will ever get removed.

For OOTP to include the player pictures, they would need an MLBPA license which they do not have. The license is with the MLB.

As for facegen, I believe the pre-release screenshots never include them. I assume it's because it is still being worked on/improved.

the player facegens will not be shown because those come from the mod community. They can't release official player facegens because they would still run into the likeness issue with the mlbpa.

If it's a fictional league they're showing then we would see facegens.

This. The game does not ship with real player pictures. You can however enable Facegen for fictional faces, of course. Or you install some sort of mod.

The modding community does do a fantastic job with the facegens, and I'm sure they will continue to do so with the new release coming upon us soon enough.
