Hope the Triple Crown is Fixed

For pitchers, triple crown is often mis-listed in the history.

The problem is a pitcher leads the AL in the triple crown categories, but is listed as winning the Major League Triple Crown.

Only players leading both leagues in the triple crown categories are ML Triple Crown winners.

Pitching triple crowns are not currently tracked or recorded in OOTP.

Good point though.

I don't recall a pitcher in v15 being attached to any label other than "Won the Triple Crown" in his profile history. In v15, pitchers aren't included in the League History Award Winners Accomplishments. Is this in a news story? If so, can you post a screenshot?

It's not recorded in the player history.

Only mention I ever see of it is the news article the day after the season ends.

As blue and end have mentioned, pitching Triple Crown is not tracked in OOTP. I had had maybe 15 pitching Triple Crown in my ABF league and none are listed anywhere. I kept track of them manually in my thread.

In a league with two subleagues such as MLB, a pitcher who wins the pitching Triple Crown in their own subleague may or may not have also won the pitching Triple Crown in the league as a whole.

However, in a league with one subleague, a pitcher who wins the pitching Triple Crown in their own (sole) subleague always wins the pitching Triple Crown in the league as a whole.

Because of the way subleague names are coded, if Triple Crowns are tracked, Pitcher X would be listed as winning the Triple Crown in their subleague, rather than in the whole league.

To this, I support a special condition for Triple Crowns: if a batter or pitcher leads the entire league in all three categories, they should be listed as winning the Triple Crown in their entire league, while if they lead their subleague in all three categories, but not the entire league, they should only be listed as winning the Triple Crown in their subleague.

You're right. I had it confused with the hitting triple crown.

If a player in the AL or NL leads the AL or NL in all triple crown categories, he is labeled as having won the ML Triple crown.

It would be nice to list pitchers as having won triple crowns.
