Although not often 3 for 1 and 3 for 2 trades do happen. The shop player function is designed to show who is available. It is a starting point not an end point. The pool of players shown is limited. The idea is to take that information and make a better/more complex trade out of it. Of course you can take the 1 for 1 if you like it.
