Please give some respect to the guy that caught the last out of the 1984 World Series. The dude has been caucasian in at least the last two releases if not more. Larry Herndon is a black man, African-American, however you want to say it. But he's not white.

It may sound petty from this Tigers fan. But its a simple fix.

I never noticed this, but I just checked my random debut league he's listed as Caucasian. His facegen is correct though. I always get upset that Verne Ruhle is listed as being from Coleman Texas. I would bet Verne is the only thing Coleman Michigan has ever had to brag about, so I have to edit him. Jim Northrup always comes up Breckenridge Texas as well, instead of Breckenridge Michigan.

I don't think it is a simple fix. I'm open to correction here, but am pretty sure there's no field for players race in the Lahman db since that's something OOTP has but the Lahman db doesn't track.

To add that would actually be a lot of work.

To get the players races right you really need to edit them by hand or else use the facegen or photo packs.

All three points are = True.

Lahman does not distinguish race, OOTP default race is based on nothing in particular.

I'm not certain I follow. Are you saying with any new game Don Mattingly could be randomly generated as Asian and Lloyd McClendon could randomly be generated as Hispanic?

Yes.

Most people will use either the facegen packs or the photo packs for historical play. Those make the players appear with either their real picture or a reasonably accurate facegen image.
