Strange 2016 Draft

So I started a new game, went to the All-Star break, then forced all the 2014 trades and turned off all trading. This meant my 2014 post season should start with current MLB rosters.

I got to the 2016 draft and it was very strange. I had a lot of 20 & 21 year old high schoolers. I even noticed a 25 year old high schooler. These were all US born players.

Now I come to this. He was a pitcher. But my scout liked him as a hitter. I didn't realize he was a left handed shortstop. Do I leave it? Do I change him to right handed? Do I edit his fielding to only be a first baseman?

The old HS players are because some of the real guys we added to the draft are too young for OOTP to handle, and it changes their dob's. We'll get Markus to fix that asap.

yeah there was an issue with the draft roster. I thought it got fixed. It won't affect anything though.

About your LH SS, I would just leave him as a lefty. I really doubt that the handiness is factored into fielding.

HS RHP from Aquinas HS in Overland Park, KS

has hit 97 w/ fastball but sits around 93-94

excellent slider at 87 and solid knuckle curve that can be a wipeout pitch...

i believe the real players are in the draft but no edits have been made to their stats

Some edits have been made, but most were made after the latest roster update.

Everyone will be edited over time, but there are so many guys it takes a while and we're concentrating on 2015 and guys from the 2014 draft that will be in future drafts for now.

Pint is probably the best player in 2016 for now, and is rated pretty high in game, but it's still early. That'll probably change quite a bit in the next couple years.

I didn't realize the drafts were setup that way. I thought after the 1st year they were just randomly generated.

Left handed SS isn't as much of a problem as left handed 2B/3B/C, but no lefty in their right mind (pun intended) would try to develop themselves at SS.

Left handed Catchers aren't a massive issue either IIRC, except that no-one really wants them.

I don't think a lefty 3B would be worse than a SS
