Specific Draft Pick Trading

Not sure if this has been asked or if its already possible (I have not figured it out yet).

I have 2 1st round picks this year. Position 13 and position 35. I want to trade away the 35th pick but I dont have the option to select that pick specifically. All I can do is select 1st round but I cannot select the specific position. I would like to be able to select 1st round, pick 35. Shouldnt be too hard to implement this I think... just a change in db command to list all draft picks by round and position rather than just round.

This has been asked for in a couple of versions, I think.

If I remember correctly, the game will trade your natural pick first, then any picks acquired afterwards, in ascending order. So if your team's natural pick was 1-20 (the your team finished with a W/L record that would get you pick #20), and you had picks 1-1, 1-6, and 1-9 via trades, it would trade 1-20, then 1-1, 1-6, 1-9 sequentially if you kept trading away your 1st rounders.

I got some weird stuff happening in my game. I traded one 1st round pick without problem but then when I traded the late pick, I successfully did the trade but after the trade I still had the same 1st round pick and I did not get the 2nd and 3rd round I traded down for from the other team. I will have to manually trade them during the draft it seems unless there is some rule I am unaware of that prevented the swap of picks. Ive never seen that happen before. I did get another supplemental pick later but I still have that 30th pick also.

A few people (myself included) have pushed for this for a couple of versions now, at least. I'd love to see a graphical system where it shows exactly which picks in a given draft we have, and what team(s) the picks originally belonged to.

So, in practice, it would look like this: The Mets (AI team) had traded for the Astros (AI team) 1st round pick, and you, the Dodgers, were trading with the Mets. You could then see the Mets had two 1st round picks, their own, and the one from Houston, then you could ask for the Astros 1st round pick instead of the Mets 1st round pick.
