Address the issue where players with a "1" in a position get priority there

There's been an issue with OOTP for years where sometimes players with the minimum experience necessary to add a position to their Defensive Ratings will get prioritized as the backup for that position. Take this player:

OOTP wants him to play shortstop so badly that it brought him in as a defensive replacement (he was not in the depth chart at shortstop) in a 1 run game that I lost when a ground ball made it through the 5-6 hole. This has been the case for years, where a player with a 1 at a position often gets priority as the backup. I'd really like it if this were fixed or at least could we get a check box that allows me to tell the game never to play a player at certain positions to overrule whatever is causing this logic to play out? I'm in a 14 game in these instances but it happens in 15 as well and this is just the first time I thought to screen cap it....

Just to be clear, the guy I had as the shortstop backup has these ratings:

In an offline game, you can go into the player editor and remove the experience at that position but that isn't something I want to do for every player this happens to nor can I do this in online leagues.
