Talking I am back :)

OK, this was the worst vacation ever, but I am back. Spending the whole time in the hotel room with fever and the flu is no fun at all

Hey, I need work... got ideas for a 5.2 update or 5.13 patch?

Cheers!

Welcome back Markus.

Couple of ideas here that certainly aren't real important but maybe easy to do(?) so could be included in whatever you do.

On the ingame screen for the catcher instead of showing passed ball rating put in throws and throw outs

example: instead of

arm:b pb:2
we see
arm:b throw 12/36
catcher's thrown out 12 of 36 runners

this would update in game like pitchers ERA and pitches

could we also get the park effects on the ingame screen like the team setup? Maybe to the left of the scoreboard.

Like I said certainly not a big thing but would add to the game at least IMO.

Thanks

How about makeing the manager career mode option more customizeable...........

1) children birthdays could be entered instead of generated by the game (baseball ability too)

2) manager history could be editable (i really dont like haveing to always start out as a 1st year manager) also this way if i wanted to use Joe Torre as a manager career he wouldnt have to start out as a greenhorn 1st year manager, and could have his complete manageing career listed.

3) entering wifes name instead of generated

For 5.13:

- On the HTML output, on the team pages, WHIP still isn't being displayed correctly for relivers.

- Also on the HTML output, wild card standings have been removed! Hopefully they can be added back.

Any chance the financial coeffecient will ever be added?

How about....
Weather report before a game,
Mound Visit option to try and calm a pitcher down (even if it does nothing, it stalls for time to get the bullpen ready)
PBP announcing records being broken and who held them
CPU re-ordering lineups for best performance when a substitute Player is in the game
Double headers and rescheduled rainouts
Players inducted with a team in the HOF
Individual team HOFs
'Sticky' sorts everywhere
All Star announcements in Breaking News, E-mails, and Almanac
Notes/suggestions from the owner in Manager Mode
An option to disagree with computer amateur draft choice
Spring training games
Voting for All Stars and Award winners....

What, you thought it was gonna be easy?

Too bad your vacation seemed to suck. At least you have OOTP to come back to.

Welcome back Markus! I like Sweed's idea about the park factors being displayed ingame.

I was also wondering if you could alter the fatigue code so that players do not become tired when being used as the DH. It would also be cool if players used at DH for a game counted as being rested. Just an idea

Thanks!

Either:
Create an option to "freeze" team strategies OR
Add "Stealing Bases" to the era attributes

Something really needs to be done so that OOTP will reflect realistic stolen base totals for era's other than the current "Home Run Derby" era.

1) Stolen bases to era setting
2) the dreaded financial coefficient
3) a new fielding system (see Wish List for my ideas)
4) in manager mode, create computer managers who switch teams based on performance, compile records, etc
5) customizable play-by-play

Granted that sounds more like OOTP6, but hey, you said you needed work

Got one word for you Markus: WAVERS

Obviously, this would require a 40-man roster. Then, if you want to remove a guy that has no options, he first has to be placed on wavers (for three days or something). The other teams can grab him. If he passes through, he can still refuse assignment to the minors, as is done now. If a computer team places someone on wavers, you get an email. There would also be a list of players on wavers available at all times via some menu option. IMO this adds a much needed dimension to the game, and makes it tougher on human players.

Welcome back Markus, sorry you weren't feeling well.

Was wondering if you could take a look at the thread just down from this one titled "Contract Extension Question"

Much thanks

Sorry to hear about your vacation. I had a similar thing happen to me last year and it was extremely disappointing.

The one thing I would like to see is an expanded team history and perhaps an HTML output of the Team History page (for easier navigation) that included:

All-Stars, Award Winners, All-Time Team Record and All-Time Team Leaders (maybe the top 5 in the same categories that are kept at a league level).

Also ,wanted to mention I really like 2 previosuly mentioned ideas, and that is Sweeds' in-game Catcher showing runners thrown out instead of PB and the Mound Visit suggestion (for stalling purposes to allow a pitcher to warm up).

Thanks and Welcome Back.

A button for autosetting the depth chart at just the position currently being looked at, and also for the PH depth charts to not get cleared after every autoreset of the depth charts.

Hope your next vacation is better than the last.

This one should be easy. When I am drafting, if I ask the computer's advice, I wish a "Are you sure?" dialog box would come up. I want to be given the chance to turn down the computer's choice.

Great idea bout the PH sixto- I'll echo that..

One thing I would really like is for Range Factors to not show up only in the HTML screen- Id like to see them in the fielding report as well...
