This may be something to be considered for a future version of OOTP....umpires and their decisions, after all, are major influences on games and season outcomes. Maybe include actual umpires in future versions. Not sure how individual umpire ratings would be calculated, though. Still, something to think about.

IIRC people do keep stats on umpires, in regards to size of strike zone, number of ejections, etc.

Umpires can retire too after some time. And as commish you can promote new ones from highschool to college to minors to majors.
