Bunting for a hit late in a possible no-hitter generates a lot of talk. I know there are posters here, players, and media who feel it is improper/bad form.
What I think is bad form is not trying as hard as you can to score runs, regardless of the score or the outs or the inning.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

A cycle is not the same as a no-hitter. Walking a guy in a tie game with a possible cycle on the line would be mentioned, but there would be very little, if any, discussion about right or wrong.

Also, bunting to break up a no-hitter is only considered improper/bad form if the game isn't in doubt. In 2001, Ben Davis bunted to break up a no-hitter by Curt Schilling in a 2-0 game in the eighth inning. Opinion was evenly mixed on whether it was a "fair" play or not.
