A most interesting photo. Note the use of a number, was this the first time numbers were introduced? Also note the design of the uniform which differs from that illustratrated in the uniform bible available at the Hall of Fame for the Cardinals in 1923.

While I've made more than 100 behind-the-scenes updates to the Facepack since its last release, this one in particular merits mention.

Like the current Facepack image, the referenced post shows Fox as a manager--nearly 30 years after his brief ML stint. I've replaced the Facepack image with this photo from spring training 1953, late in his playing career.
