Albert Pujols retires w/704 Homers!

Albert Pujols has been a consistent player in my league and at the beginning of the career he said this season would be his last.

Well, he went out in fashion. I brought him over from Boston W/me when I changed teams. It's 2019 and we won the whole thing. Puhols anchored the lineup (along with BOS Teammate C.Valdes (A draftpick I traded for when in Boston). Albert won the MVP and hit his 700th homer.

Looks to me like he still has plenty of life left in him.

With a season like that he should come back for at least one more. Nice.

I'd say so.. hes 39 and still is better than the average ball player. I bet he'd get 750 if he played another season. Bring him out of the retirement with that one utililty

Just brought him (and Rocco Baldelli and Mark Prior) back from the heap. To be honest, I was surprised he retired. Thanks for the Idea (and utility). I guess the "career ending" injuries are no longer a problem...

I will update his career stats again after the season.

How do you change the hat logos? Do you go in and do that manually or is there a utility?

I did that. I used Paint Shop Pro. I took the hat from Edgar Martinez and cut Albert's off. I then colored the jersey shirt from red to Mariners blue.

I edited that (and only that) to see if he could steal 40 bags.

It does look odd compared to career #s. I noticed when I brought him back the traditional speed #s are there.

I hate it when they go out with huge numbers like that, I want them to stick around a little more to help me out.

I'll tell my 10-year-old about your results. He's sure that either Pujols or Soriano can break Aaron's record.

What utility do you use to unretire players?

You need to introduce your son to A-Rod.
