NEW Historic League Starting

MTBaseball, a league that will begin in 1901, is recruiting owners for it's innaugral season. The league page is http://mtb.atthefrontsystems.com/ (if the DNS hasn't "spread" yet, try THIS link: http://207.142.132.180/~atthef/mtb/ though the banner will not show). We will also be using the Cato utility to "archive" the league's progress. The league will begin with a $70 million "soft" cap.

If after reading the Rules page, you'd like to help us "make some history", drop me a line at bwohldma@charter.net. Please include in your message:

- Your real name
- Your AIM screen nick
- Your e-mail
- Team preference (if any)

All teams from the deadball era are available, with the exception of St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Chicago (A).

All's I have to say is it's about time someone starts up a league starting in 1901 that actually has openings. Just the league I've been waiting for.

I'm definitely interested, but won't make a commitment until the web page is functional and I'm able to read the constitution/rules.

Tigers would be team of choice.

is there a draft to get the league started or will all teams start with the players they had in 1901?

Okay. The main site at http://mtb.atthefrontsystems.com/ Apears to finally be working correctly! We currently have 4 spots still available:

Baltimore, Cleveland, Milwaukee, and the Phillies. We will not be having an initial "Fantasy Draft"... all teams are as is. The initial league file is up, and we hope to have the last 4 slots filled soon so we can have the 1st sim this Monday.

Anyone still interested, drop me an e-mail at bwohldma@charter.net. The e-mail should again include:

-Real Name
-Aim Name
-e-mail address
-Team preference (if any)
-Any other info you'd like to pass along.
