Can Commish override an action?

What I did was screw up a trade where somehow player A got to the correct team but somehow player B became a free agent. My question is can I just do something to put player B on his correct team?

Yes, you go into the player editor from the player's profile. On the left just after the player's info there is a menu to move the player to another team.
