HOF suggestions

I just noticed that if a player makes it to the HOF in one league he gets in every other leagues, he played in, HOF regardless of his stats in that league. Since the game is set up that way why not just have one hall of fame and have it sortable by league. That way smaller leagues (where players might start or end their career) HOF aren't filled up with guys who barely played.

No reason a player with 34 games in a league should make it into that leagues HOF just because he made it in with another league.

*EDIT* The more I think about it the more I'm ok with the way the HOF works (many smaller leagues in all sports will induct players who where HOFers at major levels.

Another thing I'd like to see is a Voting for HOF. Just have a list at the end of the season of HOF eligible players and users can vote which ones get in. Use the same rules at the real HOF 0-10 a year. That would eliminate the issues with making HOF numbers for non-standard leagues and add another layer to the game.

Each league should have it's own completely separate hall of fame imho, but should be able to induct any player who ever played in that league.

I agree that each should be completely separate. The game should also auto adjust milestones and HOF numbers for non MLB leagues. But if they are going to keep it the way it is there should just be one HOF in a world and then have a category for which league.

It's annoying to constantly see players with 10 or less games in a league in the HOF just because in another league they did extremely well. And as I said you can't remove them because it removes them from both HOFs. I have a guy who pitched in one game for a 1/3 of an inning and gave up 4 runs and he's in that leagues HOF because he made the HOF in another league.

The way the game is setup now is screwy. Either they need to have one HOF or they need to have individual HOFs (and offer more support for non MLB setups). Not this weird combination thing they have going on now.

It's not unprecedented for a lower league to HOF a player who made it big in the majors. This happens a lot with college and high school players. However, it does look a bit silly for a Single-A league to HOF a player because they made it big, but only played a 5 game rehab stint at Single-A.

Maybe some kind of distinction between a player who is HOFed at a lower league due to their stats at that level vs. a player who is symbolically HOFed because of some achievement at the majors, sorta like how Jackie Robinson's number is retired through all of American pro ball even though he didn't play in the vast majority of those leagues. I don't know how you'd get the game to make that distinction though.

I really like the HOF voting process idea too.
