Can't decide
I previously posted this in the '14 forum but didn't get any replies. Sorry for any redundancy:
This is my first post here and I'm not trying to start a '14 vs. '15 thread. I've been going back and forth between the '14 & '15 demos but they are time limited so I haven't had a chance to truly play either of them for any extended period of time. The 2.99 humble bundle looks awesome and is obviously a steal. I would be getting it primarily for OOTP. Besides the updated 2014 rosters and the interface upgrades, is there really that much of a gameplay difference in '15? I'm not trying to sound like a cheap-o because I understand these games are high quality and I'm sure '15 is worth every penny. It's just hard to pass up 2.99 if the "under the hood" is pretty much the same. I don't care about the new 3D stuff or online. If it makes any difference, I mainly play as GM and I really like to manage the play by play, every other game or so. I enjoy making the in-game manager decisions and making a few trades here and there. My pet peeves are realism with injuries, player development, play by play detail, realisitic pitch counts, morale, AI trade logic. If there hasn't been any huge changes in this dept. from '14 to '15, I would probably just buy '14. If there have been big, important changes then I may just skip the bundle and get '15. Any thoughts from people that have played both versions Any input would be appreciated. |

I bought 14 in a humble bundle last month so I was in the same boat as you. And I can say 14 is worth every penny of that $2.99 (I payed 7 bucks for 6 games) and more. Don't pass it up.
As for 15 I bought it two and a half weeks after I got 14. While the changes aren't glaring (i don't do 3D either) I like 15 WAY WAY more than 14. Is it worth the difference in price maybe not but something about it has me liking it a lot more than 14 and I don't regret, at all, the 39.99 I spent on it. Quote:
Also, for me there were several things I didn't know I wanted till I had them with 15. My suggestion to you is to get 14 with the bundle and if you like it then get 15 later. You won't be disappointed and you won't regret spending the money. |

That's EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you so much! I will heed your advice and pick up that bundle ASAP. I can already tell where I will be spending a majority of my time. Time to take over the Braves and dump BJ Upton's contract. Any takers??
