Make him a P or OF
I have a player with these 2 options on a 20 point rating system.
Pitcher 10/11 stuff, 16/17 control, 10/12 with 3 good pitches 16+, and stamina 20 We are in his 2nd off season which means he was not in the most recent draft but the one before that and he is now 23 years old. when drafted he had 16 stuff, 17 movement , and 14 control for potential. As a player vs Righties he has is fully mature at 14,14,15,10,13 and has a 14+ in both COF positions. (power is the only non fully developed stat he is 14/15 right now. Vs lefties he is next to useless with 9-11 in all categories. My gut tells me leave him as a pitcher as the movement could give him a few special seasons, but I hate watching him continue to decline in potential. Last edited by tjw4; 08-21-2014 at 02:24 AM. |

Looks likes he might be a platoon type of player. I like the hitting stats. I kinda would say hitter, but if you need a pitcher, I'd try that.

Corner OF unless he could also move to 1B.

Yes he can also play 1b, but its 8 or 9 I believe...Has anyone ever tried a bullpen / bench player...is the fatigue related...example he pitches Monday..goes down to 78 rest...then plays a day at 1st base or pinch hits...would this impact his fatigue levels?

Id make him a hitter unless you need a reliever, but his stats vs righties will make it worth it and if you have someone else, id keep him on the bench versus lefties or move him down the lineup.
I went the other way giving up 20 home run potential for a very solid bullpen guy who became, on the team I had left their fireman and logged lots of innings in relief. Never underestimate the need for a solid bullpen guy but Id go with hitting and his hitting stats may improve with good coaching. |
