Craziest play you've seen in OOTP
Hi everyone,
Just wondering what's the craziest play you've seen during and OOTP game. Also wondering if anyone has seen: 1. A runner scoring from 3rd after a throw to 1st after a dropped 3rd strike. 2. A runner being forced out at 2nd after a hot liner to the outfield. Just wondering. |

Yep! And the other question is from a Dodger game last week. Dee Gordon scored from third on a throw to first after a dropped 3rd strike. That's what got me wondering how many unusual plays can occur in OOTP.

Had a walk off SB of home on a botched squeeze attempt in the deciding game of a playoff series not too long ago. Not sure how "crazy" that is but I'm guessing that winning a game on a walk off SB of home is pretty rare, and rarer still for a deciding game of a playoff series.

What an exciting game yesterday's Detroit/Jays match was!
If nobody is doing this yet perhaps there should be some thread or repository where unusual/rare real-life plays can get logged by the community, so that they can be considered for inclusion in future versions of OOTP? (Perhaps not only plays, but also strange injuries, or odd causes for injury.) It might be handy to have this all in some centralized thread or location for reference. |

pstrickert is the amazing guy who wrote the game's PBP. I asked him earlier this year about unusual plays in the game, and he said:

So if someone wants to start a thread where people can post such plays, I'll let Markus know and make sure the suggestions get added somewhere so he can go through them and figure out which ones he can add. And since we're going to bring another programmer into the team, I'm sure this is something Markus could give him to work on at some point. |

Would be cool to see someone steal two bases on one pitch like Pedroia did the other night when the shift was on against Ortiz.

Yesterday I had a running being out on an appeal for missing FIRST BASE.
Who misses first base? come on! |

I've seen it result in outs probably a dozen times. Still a rare play and not all misses result in appeal outs.

I just got an inside-the-park home run, which was a first for me.

not sure if this qualifies but just seen a streaker interrupt play to embrace Mickey Mantle! Funnier still that the fan was escorted off the field by the police was a man! Really enjoying the rare stuff in OOTP!

Morganna the Kissing Bandit should be hard coded into the game.

My craziest play (or should I say plays):
The slow-as-hell Victor Martinez hitting an inside-the park HR in Cleveland, and in his very next at-bat, got an infield single on a dribbler to the pitcher. I lost my mind with laughter when that happened. |
