BoogalooCrab's 2014 Hi-Res Photo Pack

Well folks, I have finally completed v1.0 of my 2014 photo pack. There are over 1200 photos included in this version, all of them high resolution with transparent backgrounds. I made the conscious decision to utilize Yahoo Sports as the source for photos at this point as I think the size/quality of the images maps very well to the interface of OOTP15.

It averages out that there are over 40 player photos per MLB team, including some prospect photos down to the AA level. My plan is to update the file periodically if new photos are added. Additionally, I "may" utilize the photos from ESPN to fill in some gaps over time.

I've tested the set to ensure that all 1200+ photos will appear in-game. Simply download from the link below and place the photos in the "Out of the Park Developments > OOTP Baseball 15 > photos" folder and begin a new game. For Mac, use the 'go to folder' function and type in: ~/Library - then hit go. Once in the next window, go to: Containers > com.ootpdevelopments > Data > Library > Application Support > OTTP Baseball 15 > Photos.

You can utilize in an existing game, but you will need to manually update the images to show if you already have facegen or other photo files loaded.

Please provide your feedback on this thread and I will use your input to improve the effort. It's my hope that you will enjoy this set as much as I do. It was a lot of work, but I think it came out very nicely!

Wow.... Very good question! I am on a PC and don't have a Mac, but I would think if you look in the folder that was created for the game on your Mac, it should be easy to find.

Anyone else have a better answer?

Fair enough, I think I may have found a way to do it, I will report back if it works.

Thanks! Yeah, once they update the photos on yahoo, I will update in the set. There was some glaring omissions -- Alex Rodriguez and Bartolo Colon for instance. I'm sure they will update shortly.

Ok, I found how to do it, and it works almost perfectly, except the real photo for the starting pitchers on my team (The Dodgers) won't load while in game. Only in the menus, the facgen pics are used in games, while all my other players work fine.

To access it all on mac you do this:

In the finder, use the 'go to folder' function and type in: ~/Library - then hit go.

Once in the next window, go to: Containers > com.ootpdevelopments > Data > Library > Application Support > OTTP Baseball 15 > Photos

Drop them in there...

Any ideas to why only starting pitchers pictures won't work?

Great work by the way! The pictures look stunning.

No matter what team I use, I cannot get the starting pitcher pictures to work - but only on my team. the AI is fine.

I'm actually seeing some weirdness with starting pitchers and called up players as well. The only work-around I can figure out is to go in and manually update the photo for your player before the game. After doing this once, the player's photo will appear in-game moving forward. To update the photo manually, go into the player profile and click the "picture functions" red button; select "import photo file" and find the player you are wanting to update. For some reason, the player photo will most likely be already showing in the player profile page, but not any other in-game screens. Once you do the manual update, the player will appear across all screens you expect to see him on.

I think it's a bug at this point as I had no problems with previous versions of OOTP. I loaded the photopack into OOTP14 and didn't experience any issues. Hopefully it will get addressed.

There was a bug with real pics....they weren't being copied to the person_pictures folder..it's fixed in the latest build 15.2.8. If they aren't showing now. Just go to your saved game's news\html\images\person_pictures folder and delete those...OOTP will auto generate them again as it needs to as long as you have facegen in the settings tab set to search for photo first.

help downloading

Not sure if I'm doing this right to download the archived package. I click to download and it opens up a popup window with another download link. When I click that it wants me to install some bloatware download manager software.

Can we just download it directly from somewhere or is this safe?
