Question About Player Potential Ratings
I have an 18-year-old in the lower levels of my minor leagues. On his profile's main page it says his potential is 56. However, in the scouting reports tab, his OSA potential is listed as 21 and his potential from my team's scout is 31. Does anyone know why this may be the case? I briefly looked in some of the settings but I couldn't find anything.
EDIT (8/24/14): For anyone who may stumble across this thread, I had the ratings relative to a different league. Rookie mistake Last edited by robert2; 08-24-2014 at 12:59 AM. |

OSA is kinda like a baseball magazine. They are generally good at evaluating talent for players that have been around for awhile but are not as good at prospects.
Your team scout will have more information about players that are already in your farm system and will generally be better than OSA when it comes to your own players. Also, the longer a player is in your system the more accurate your own scout will become. When it comes to draftees a lot will depend on how good your scout's amateur rating is. All about Scouting |

Were these screenshots taken on the same day in your game?

I would guess you have the rating relative to another league selected
