Now maybe my original view was clouded by the fact that I have been here since 2003 and have seen Wolf and his father Mal involved in 90% of train wreck threads.

Wolf is a master at playing the victim and posting things that allow him to walk the fine line of plausible deniability as to if he was trolling or being insulting etc. I also explained this to Wolf and asked him to let the thread die but he couldn't / wouldn't which I predicted.

What a falsehood! I had stopped posting and them you post this lengthy diatribe!

Guys, can we knock this off? I ask at the risk of appearing to be a "do-gooder" but it's more for a concern about how this looks to noobs who come here to ask questions. For example, did you notice that only one post, mine, out of 45 responses so far actually attempted to answer the OP's inquiry? The rest has been this silly back and forth that makes us all look bad. The only other posts that have been helpful have been these:

Yesterday, when I appealed to reason (post #47), saying that " I ask at the risk of appearing to be a "do-gooder" but it's more for a concern about how this looks to noobs who come here to ask questions," I received the following message from one of them:

I just wanted to thank you for your intervention post in that Bug thread. I can only speak for myself but as one of those noobs to the game and the forum that you referenced, seeing that degree of childishness is really offputting and can make one wary of wanting to engage and contribute to the community. It's definitely unfair to the game, but it negatively impacts overall perception -- it's a lot more difficult to tout this to others as "Here's this terrific simulator that serious baseball fans are playing! Check it out!" when they go to the forums and see threads like this and wind up with the unflattering impression that this is a representative sample of the user base. I'm kinda surprised that a moderator didn't shut this down, honestly. Anyway, thanks a lot for being a voice of reason. This is a great game and I want to be able to promote it to others without feeling sheepish about the conduct in the forums.

I have sent messages to Andreas and other moderators asking them to close this thread and one other where this stupid sniping continues without end. I like this game and these forums too much to sit back and not take any action at all. Apparently we have a few members who cannot control themselves so I intend to help the moderators deal with these situations if I can.
