I'm with you on that, but if you'd have just let it go that would have been that. You did have to have the last word, which i totally get because I have the same problem. That's partly why I think an argument between us would go on for eternity.

I'm taking no sides here I'm just saying you were in the right from the beginning and there really wasn't even a need to defend yourself. You need to learn to just let stuff like that go. I'm not really the person to give that advice but it's still pretty sound.

All of you owe The Wolf an apology. He provided the link that gave people the correct location to report bugs. The Wolf didn't say, "Don't report bugs in this Forum!" That just happened to be the name of the thread that had the information that the OP obviously needed.

Geesh, some of you people need to let go of your gripes with him. Let bygones be bygones. He was clearly jumped.

I don't owe him crap. I never commented on his posting the link. I commented on his never ending need to always get the last word. A guy that gets into as many disputes as he does isn't exactly an angel. And guess what, the disputes aren't always because people have it out for him Look at the thread where he tells the guy moving to Singapore that it's an awful place to live. All the guy was doing was sharing how he would have 15 hours to play OOTP, but The Wolf felt the need to run down his new home. Gee, do you think someone moving to a place may have done some research before doing so?

I ignore him more often than I get involved in spats with him. I also enjoy some of his posts, but he often acts like a bully and then plays the victim card when he's called on it.

I do enjoy your posts, so I hope me speaking my mind here does nothing to put us on bad terms.

Not at all...you are 100% cool in my book.

And, yes, I have seen the posts that you reference. And, yes, he defends himself tooth and nail. And, yes, he sometimes he defends himself past the point where we all get where is coming from. True enough, he gets the last word. But this is often true of me (and most of us) when we feel slighted or attacked especially when we are posting useful information.

In this specific instance, I see no harm whatsoever in his first post. The resulting posts from him were because of unnecessary attacks (not necessarily you).
I don't think he meant harm. That's all I have to say about all of this.

Cool. I agree that his posting the link was not wrong. In fact the OP even said he didn't know if he was posting in the correct place. I'm done as well. Thanks for listening.

As the person who "jumped on" poor wolfie let me explain how I viewed it and responded the way I did. Any number of people post in the general forum what may or may not be bugs with the question has anyone seen this thing happen. So bug reports in this forum are not unheard of and if confirmed some one usually says hey post it in the bug thread.

Now I open this thread and see Wolf posting in what I perceived as his usual abrupt style. So I just said maybe you could say politely "if you think it's a bug here's the link" rather than a bolded "don't post bugs in this forum". As I said to Wolf it's all in how you approach people sometimes.

Now maybe my original view was clouded by the fact that I have been here since 2003 and have seen Wolf and his father Mal involved in 90% of train wreck threads.

Wolf is a master at playing the victim and posting things that allow him to walk the fine line of plausible deniability as to if he was trolling or being insulting etc. I also explained this to Wolf and asked him to let the thread die but he couldn't / wouldn't which I predicted.

Which totally excuses you from jumping on him for nothing and being a complete and total ass.

That's sarcasm by the way. I didn't want you to misunderstand what I said and jump on me.
