Custom League -- Advice Needed

I'd like to start an online league where 2 human players take over expansion teams and the rest of the teams are managed by AI.

1). Is this possible?
2). What settings would be recommended?
3). Is there a fast way to quick start the league at the point of expansion? or do you just have to sim up to that point?

2. What settings are you talking about?
3. It depends on what point you want to start. I believe as soon as you start an mlb quickstart, you can schedule an expansion draft.
