How to create good logos

I am not very experienced at with photo editing but I want to create good logos for my game. I have tried to use paint to decrease the size but it always distorts the picture slightly. And I also can't figure out how to get the white to be invisible(i'm pretty sure that's not even possible with paint).

Any tips or programs to use? I can't afford photoshop so that's not an option. I have a macbook and I have always heard how artsy they are but I haven't been able to find a program on it.

I'm not too familiar with what else is out there for the Mac, but the most feature complete Photoshop alternative I know of is GIMP, which has an OSX version.

I'm not sure if that redirects based on your OS, but if not, you can grab the file directly from here:

You might also have luck with Pixlr, which is a web-based photo editor.

The very best way to get great logos for your game is to simply ask for them in the mods forum.

There are a lot of very talented guys on this forum that love to make graphics for others.

The community is the best part of OOTP.

It ain't mooching; it's giving some nerdy guys a good excuse to do what they love to do without feeling guilty it about since they are doing a favor for someone else......

Yeah no doubt there's awesome logos out there. But there always some that I can't find

Can you give some specific examples of ones you can't find? Maybe I have them or I can point you to them. There are many collections but there are some great ones in uncollected threads.

I've already started a league where a lot of the teams are based around the high schools where I grew up. But all the logos and unis are not right. My Oil City Oilers look like this Oil City @ Franklin - Oil City High School Baseball - MaxPreps

I'll gather some pictures and and ideas an take it to the mod forum.

I also wanted start a collection of everyone's favorite fictional teams. A collection of the best. Are there any of those out there?

Ahh, right, so the ones you can't find are those of your local high school teams. Sorry, can't help you there. Some modders can probably help you. I find that patience and politeness count for a lot on this sub-forum. Best wishes to you.
