Well, let's just agree to disagree, okay?

Go run the company the best way you know how. So far, the ride has been fine.

We want to improve the game, and we want to sell more copies.
Markus will improve it, and a new programmer will create the 3D stuff so that it sells more copies. The new programmer would not be there if we could not sell more. But the sales would not increase enough just because of AI improvements.
In the end - hopefully - the game will sell enough so that we can even have one or two programmers helping Markus with the AI.

Wow, we lost a lot of good comments out of this thread.

Yes, sorry about that - the backup was a few hours old and these hours are now missing

Not sure I understand. Not complaining, mind you, but what happened to derail the plan laid out on the facebook page? Or did that mean the few hours were irrecoverable from the get-go?

Stuff happens. Hard drives fail. I'm just glad you got it fixed.

Given how much good stuff was lost I am not going to continue the discussion that was going on about the locusts that are coming.

Anyone want to change the subject?

This is a good idea. Let's all take the crash as a sign and just leave it be.

Maybe taking away the forums will be our long term punishment if we keep complaining about 3D...

Well played, Markus.

Good point. I have a sneaky suspicion it was those previously mentioned locusts that took out the servers.

Andreas can chime in too if I'm wrong, but my understanding was that the few hours were lost from the get-go. The data was backed up through a certain day and time, and then the forum posts that happened after that back-up but before the crash were lost.

Great, so I don't get to redo my Gears of War reference?

What happens in the server crash vortex stays in the server crash vortex.

Is Facegen unimprotant? Yes, it doesn't make AI stronger. Does Markus need to delete this part of the game?
This is a good point and for me Facegen and everything that has come with it has been my single favorite edition over the years.
