No, this is obviously a wrong thread.

If I wanted to play MLB: the Show, I would play MLB: the Show. Better simulation, yes! 3-D, bah!

Just as a note, the money spent to hire the 3D programmer could have been spent on a first-class AI programmer. Do you really prefer eye candy to having the most realistic baseball game possible? If so,what's it like being a kid these days?

As an aside, and this is not a shot at you Wolf as I see it happen on this forum all the time, I find the rate at which forum members are so quick to make financial and personnel choices(or suggestions) for OOTPD in poor taste and completely bizarre. Unless you have an investment in the company I am not aware of, how about we keep our suggestions to features and bug fixes? |

I always refuse to watch live action baseball games over TV or Internet. We don't need graphics, and God only knows why we were born with eyes.

I think that's the reason why MLB coaches never visit stadiums and prefer managing their team listening to the radio broadcast. After all, they don't need to see how their slugger is running. They can get all the information they want from the statistics of the game. (Using irony and absurdity to make myself clear) Last edited by dmytron; 06-24-2014 at 03:29 PM. |

I agree with WOLF full in 3D with players and stadiums are still years away, just focus in the simulation itself the game and all it's mock parts and on the side work on the 3D. Then when it's 100% ready then release it in the future even if in OOTP 18 or 19 or something

All that he will learn by watching is exactly why sabermetrics were created in the first place.

I'm an economist but thanks for letting me know what your Word of the Day calendar came up with today.

Again, we don't know their opportunity costs considering we aren't privy to their financial picture. A guy who is a 3D programmer is more often than not, not going to be your top flight AI programmer. So time costs are not an issue. And again, it doesn't look like money is an issue since they have a 3D programmer and Markus is continuing to look for another programmer to move to Germany. |

I actually borrowed it from project management - which, unlike economics, is a real-world thing with actual uses.
