Handle Rookies - 100
Teach Hitting - 200
Teach Pitching - 55
Teach Fielding - 45

You have 600 attribute points to give away

Keep in mind, if you want to become a pitching coach, a hitting coach, or maybe one day a MLB manager....your attributes will affect that.
Should be done.

That's awesome!

As an aside, I think I retired Madison too early. He probably had a few years still in the tank.

I think he did.

But he wasn't going to accomplish much more, just counting stats

A second World Series ring, one for each league and coast!

Well, I'm not one to get my ring and bolt... I would like to re-sign with the Dodgers.

Jackson's career:

A 30th overall pick by the Boston Red Sox
Was traded three times
6X All-Star
2 Gold Gloves
3 Cy Youngs (along with a second and third place finish) - he won in 23, 25, and 28
Earned roughly $250,000,000 in his career, and famously turned down an additional $100,000,000 in career earnings to play with his hometown team the Detroit Tigers.
His 0.935 BB/9 is 4th all time (best all time since 1900)
His 3476 Innings pitched
His 98.9 WAR is 31st all time
His 2704 Strike Outs is 49th all time
His 235 Wins is 59th all time

Jackson was a very good pitcher, with a nice peak. It took him awhile to get into his groove, and many teams gave up on him too early (Yankees and Blue Jays most notably). Once he got to Minnesota and teamed up with James Madison, he really started to show what kind of a pitcher he was. He was especially great at never walking anybody.

Jackson is clearly heading to Cooperstown one day.

If the person who created Jay Jackson would like to see him made into a coach, let me know. If I don't hear anything, then his retirement will see him as a Special Assistant to the Tigers General Manager.
I have been away from the site but am more than happy with however you progress Jackson in his coaching career, especially if it is with Detroit!

15 wins short of 300 ain't too shabby!

53 pages. Heh. No. I've looked at the last couple pages and it sounds fun. I probably would have done this earlier, but I rarely venture to the Dynasty forum.
