Minnesota Baseball Association Quickstart

Here is my first attempt at a "public" quickstart. Actually, 2 quickstarts. The MBA Quickstart (the top link) is the base from which MBA 20 Seasons Quickstart (the bottom link) was derived. The MBA is the Minnesota Baseball Association which consists of 24 fictional teams, all in Minnesota with all Minnesota players. There are 5 minor leagues (AAA, AA, A, SA and Rookie) and 24 college and 60 high school feeders, again all in Minnesota with all Minnesota players. Most of the major league and high school teams are based on the real team nickname from that town. Same with the colleges. The minors have random team nicknames and logos. The MBA Quickstart starts in 2014 with an inaugural draft. I simmed that league 20 seasons to just after the playoffs in 2033 to derive the MBA 20 Seasons Quickstart so that there was some history. Hopefully that will work for those of you that are "stats only" players. You can take over a complete team then and see what you can do with them.

I had to modify some of the stats modifiers, specifically hits and home runs, in the 20 Seasons version since there were too many instances of .400+ averages and 60+ home runs. I wanted none of them so that you could be the first to experience them in your league. I also reduced the batting contact in the PCM since there were too many instances of .400 hitters being created in the draft pools. It took me numerous 20 year sims until I got multiple histories with no .400 hitters or 60+ home runs.

Please let me know if you have any problems downloading or accessing the files since this is my first attempt at sharing quickstarts. Also, please let me know if you notice any typos, incorrect spellings, logo/uniform problems, stadium issues, etc. and I will try to correct them. I hope you enjoy playing these quickstarts as much as I did creating them.

This is cool. I made a Georgia version of this with college, junior college, and high school feeders back in 13. I will upgrade it to 15 and post it somewhere if anyone is interested.I started it in 1960 to reflect the stats and finances of the early 60"s.
