That's the site I relied on the most. The only problem is that some of the wind data is in the All Data section instead of the Summery and sometimes there is none at all for a lot of the cities.

In doing this, I am also starting to notice outdated stadiums as well....for instance, the MLB QS has the Arizona Diamondbacks AZL team playing in Tidal Waves Ballpark?....where in fact, they play in Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Is this park even modeled in the game??

Is there a more accurate weather.txt file I should use for MLB game?

Is the default weather.txt a good one to use?

For what it's worth.. I actually did the original implementation back in OOTP4 (I had actually just left the National Weather Service for a contracting gig with NASA and used the official climatic averages, it's what got me added to the beta team back in the day). My understanding is this implementation has changed very little since then (the original rainfall rates were way overblown, as they took into account the averages of measurable rain on any one day, not further adjusting for the portion of the day that games occurred (this is the adjustment that raidergoo is referring too)).

---

In any event, Markus had coded it so that night games had the temperature adjusted down-ward. That was also probably overdone as the usual start time for night games (7 local) is only a couple hours after the daily maximum. Assuming that things haven't changed, I'd recommend using average daily high temperatures over the daily means.

75 isn't accurate for all covered parks. For example, the temp in covered Minutemaid is 73. The weather and precipitation information specific to baseball games is found in the official boxscores. These are listed, team by team and game by game, on baseball-reference.com. The info is added by a person in pre game notes prior to every MLB game.

The published figure for Rogers Centre is 20C or 68F. A temperature of 75F in a closed park would feel stuffy.

This will make a big difference. I believe OOTP already takes into account lower temps for night games, so I am assuming the avg temps are high ones....but I want to be sure.

I've noticed this too, a lot of times if you're playing a game in San Diego or LA and it says it's raining and in the 60's in June or July....you know that's not accurate. Good idea about a more accurate weather model.
