Best Photo Editor to Make Logos for Mac
Anyone who has a Mac have a good photo editor they use for making logos? I want to try making my own but can't seem where to start.

I use Photoahop Elements but that is only because my mom bought it to edit her actual photos. Using it is really easy, but I think it's pretty expensive and probably not worth it for OOTP.
I know GIMP is popular, but I have no idea if it runs well on a Mac. Basically you can't go wrong with any layers-based program, but others my have other opinions. |

Photoshop.
If you are willing to go with last years version, you can find some great prices. As in the $20 range. Even though it is not current, Photoshop 5 is more of a beast than you will ever need. Plus there is so much free Photoshop training on the net, both video and written. |

Gimp runs fine on a Mac and I've used it for logos. There is a native Mac port of it. That said, a vector based program like Illustrator is better suited to logo making than Gimp or Photoshop.
