Retro Style Logos and Uniforms

Since you're on a roll with PhillieFever's version of the Barons, would you mind taking a look at mine? I actually like the cap and uniform I have for this team (stolen straight from the Birmingham Barons minor league team, I believe), but I'm looking for a new logo that matches the color, look, and feel of the uniforms I have. Could I give you carte blanche on this and make the logo however you like? Again, my team's name is the Bayouville Barons. Uniform and cap are below for reference...

I've been inspired by QuestDog to do a "final" league, one that I'll play for the rest of my life. The wifey and I sat down and we designed a league around our home county in Michigan last night.

I am currently using the nickname project, and its great -- but I just love the retro work, and wonder if I can place a request for a 16 team league, preferably in the Knuckler/TxRanger style?

I don't really have a lot of disposable income with my medical situation right now, but would be willing to either offer a future donation, or I'd be willing to put together quickstart universe requests (of any depth) to save you guys time on one of your projects or something?

I just hate asking for something for nothing. The work would be highlighted in the dynasty report forum and I would also release a quickstart of the league so as many people as possible could enjoy the league if they wanted.

If you fine folks are willing to take up the request, here are teams I need (Please Note: These nicknames are not necessarily set in stone, and I'd be willing to give you artistic license if you had any ideas for something fun.) I just love that retro style!

TX, first.. I downloaded and installed a pic resizer. Thanks for your patience on those 150x150's. The resizer works great.

EDIT: I've had a change of heart on one of these teams if it's not too late. Let's just focus on one team for the moment if you can create it... the Mt. Vernon Crows (sounds better, and a little more ominous).

The Crows could be a tall order, but I think this could be the best-looking team in the SBL. Justafan recently posted a logo that would be perfect for inspiration:




The team colors would be black and purple. In a perfect world, the Crows jersey would be similar to the St. Louis Cardinals except with black crows and the word "Crows" instead of Cardinals (and maybe Mt. Vernon instead of St. Louis for away jersey, just to get greedy). An example is below in attachments with the Springfield Cardinals logo.

I'd also like a hat that has Mt. V intertwined (like the traditional St. Louis Cardinals cap). But you've got total carte blanche if you want to do anything with any and all of this.

Yep, she's cool. She plays in our roto league as well.

She doesn't play, but she understands everything I'm doing, and helps when she can, because I'm decidely uncreative.

TX actually already did one division and they look great. They definitely got the wifey seal of approval, too.

Yeah, I'm just having them rock the Retro style in the modern day, but I would definitely change to the Travelers.

When I talked to TX I told him he could change absolutely any nickname he wanted if he was doing stuff for this league, so I'm definitely receptive to change.

The cities are just about as good of a geographical breakdown that makes sense as I could do for my county, while not including Detroit itself, so that's the only thing I have set in stone at this point.

I found this artwork and really liked the look of it... I know the colors are not what you asked for exactly, but you gave me carte blanche, remember... I did use the crows on the bat for the home jersey...
