Is it possible to merge universes?

After all these years of playing OOTP I should probably know the answer to this, but I don't. I usually just sim historical leagues without experimenting much, but that's getting stale. I want to try something a little different.

Anyway, I'd like to create a fictional league in 1900, sim it to 1960, and then merge it with a newly created historical league beginning in 1960. I was hoping this was possible by saving the fictional league to a template in 1960 and then loading it into my newly created historical league, but I don't think that's possible. I read the manual regarding templates, and the example given was that of three parallel universes created and simmed for comparative analysis. I didn't see anything about actually merging the templates.

Anyone know if this scenario is even remotely possible? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, it's absolutely possible. You even explained how to do it yourself Just save the fictional league as a template and load it into your historical league. It should be that simple.

Is is possible! Outstanding!! Thanks, Lukas

I just didn't want to put in all that work creating a new league in 1900 & then simming it all the way to 1960 only to hit a brick wall. Thanks again!

Can you imagine a philosophy or astrophysics student googling the topic of alternate universes and seeing this thread title in the results? "Wow, here's my thesis topic! . . . [click] . . . What the heck?"
