Question - Main Commish password in v15

Greetings -

I'm converting an online league from V12 to V15. Everything has gone smoothly except 1 hiccup.

I'm up to V15, and can sign in fine as my Commissioner ID with my password. However, when I go to add a new human manager, the game now requires that I enter a "Main Commish Password".

I don't believe I ever set anything like this in V12, and it doesn't match any password I would of used. It also doesn't take a blank password. I have no way to get past this to add new owners to my online league.

Any help would be appreciated.

I ran into something similar in v14. I would go to add/modify a GM and it would ask for a password, I'd enter it and it would act like it didn't recognize the password (it was actually just asking for my commissioner's password but didn't seem to recognize it).

The way I found around this is to first go to 'League Setup'. It should ask you for the password. After you enter it and it accepts it go to try adding your new GM and see if it works without asking for a password again. Hopefully this works for you as it does for me.

Assuming you mean League Settings?

Asks for pass there, but with the same problem, unfortunately :/

Yes, that is the one I meant. The password there is the one you set when you set up the online league.

I'm having the same issue converting a league from OOTP 13 to OOTP 15 and I'm wondering if there's a way to work around the password without having to set one in the OOTP 13 file (and make sure that it stays when doing the conversion over again through 14 and into 15). In this case, we've never set a commissioner password and yet the game is still asking for one.

This has to be a bug that HAS to be fixed as customers of OOTP are asking.

We are dedicated OOTP customers for the past 8 years and have had our league running dedicated and consuming since September, 2006 and are into our 27th season. This isn't right and the fanbase is getting disgruntled because of no OOTP customer support on this issue.

We are converting OOTP 13 to OOTP 15 and the game will not recognize my password as commissioner and won't allow me into the game settings or to add a manager but will allow me to run SIMs, go into the commish portal and upload the file to the league though. There's no point in converting from OOTP 13 to newer versions without the support to recognize and fix this bug and to help long-dedicated and paying supporters of OOTP such as our league and others that have posted the same bug.

So we can't convert to any new version of OOTP sadly because of this bug and no support. Please OOTP guys do something about this to help retrieve our password so that we can convert and continue to support you in business as well. If not, then it's going to come to a sad end because the bug is not on our end. If I was able to run our league with the password that I have now in OOTP 13 it should be fixed to work in OOTP 15. 24 guys are dismayed at this bug that will prevent us from converting and supporting the product as well.

Please Marcus and OOTP address this post and problem to your long-dedicated customers who are now left to not be able to convert to the newest product.

Add my league to the list.

After snooping around, it appears the problem actually happens between 13 and 14, because when I go to 14 I also see the main commish login screen when I try to go to league settings.

Guys, try entering your password in ALL CAPS and see if that works for you... it did for me.
