Question about stats
I apologize in advance if this question is covered elsewhere, I've searched and read but haven't had success.
I am starting my second season as manager, (got promoted from AA to AAA after first successful season) and while studying my roster to set up pitchers and lineups, I have spent 4hrs on this alone. I want to view my batter's stats versus lefties last year. I read in the help that it can't be viewed in the split/double split format, and haven't found a way to compare my players this way. I find it difficult to think that managers out there just go off ratings and potential and can't set their lineup based on knowledge of how their hitters have performed in the past versus lefties, righties etc... This seems to be a simple stat listing necessary in my opinion, without programming knowledge I may lack the understanding of the complexity of allowing this tool. example: A couple of my players last season in AA performed very well, and well above their rating or potential. I'd like to compare their stats vs. lefties against guys who were in AAA and I never had a chance to witness. I would like to see the ability to review my roster statistics like AB, HR, AVG vs. Lefties last year at the very least, and over a career as well. Career avg vs. L seems to me to be one of the most basic of stats to have the ability to view. I hope I am just missing something but I do try to read up and answer my questions via the manual and the forums before posting. Another quick one: ratings and potential are not static so I was wondering if it is possible to view how much the players have changed since start of season or previous start of season allowing the gauging of trends of abilities for batting or defensive abilities like position rating or arm strength. I've tried many different games over the past 20 years of all different genres and I don't think I'll be trying a new game for a long, long time. This is the top of the food chain. |

The second one, though, can be found by looking at the player's scouting report on their player profile. At the top of the screen it will give a recap of all the past scouting reports that you've done on this player, and show what changes were made to his actual and potential ratings. |

In League Setup under Global Options, down at the bottom left is a drop down menu where you can have the game track lefty/righty stats in the minor leagues. This is not the default setting because it causes the database to get much larger.

Actually after a league is created, the settings I mentioned are under the Players & Facegens tab.
