I was using T&A San Marino, simply because they are from San Marino. It is amazing they have Pro Baseball with a population of less then 30k people! Also for the people using the Asian leagues, has anybody used the association feature to make the Asia series? |

No, I haven't. I'm still only about 50 games into my first season, though, with the LG Twins in Korea.

A few days into the regular season in 2014, I just saw Jair Jurrjens sign in the Mexican league (relative to which he's rated 45/75/80). I changed my news notifications to the whole world so I don't miss stuff like that. He's probably going to kill it down in Mexico.

I forgot the news filter. I must change it. I'd like the filter to be a bit more customisable. Maybe to track 'all signings across all leagues' would be perfect . |

There's really not all that many with it set to the whole world, in my opinion. I saw Fernando Martinez go to Korea, and Jake Fox turned up in a news story out of Mexico. Pretty cool.

I meant news notifications. Which turned out to be wrong when I hit Monday and had 87 notifications.

I have every league running, but I tend to stick to playing in the U.S. (starting unemployed).
I'm sure I'll eventually try out other countries, though, especially Japan and the Netherlands |

Making my first foray into using them. Started a MLB start with all leagues enabled, I'm simming to 2020, then I'm expanding the MLB and taking over..... someone. Maybe one of the expansion teams.

I'm actually working on making it right now. Not sure if it'll make it into next year's game or if I'll release it as a mod. Will have to talk to Markus about it. Anyhow, it's in the works one way or another.

I have all the leagues loaded, so my plan is to play with the Rays and then start a game in Japan and take the Baystars to the promised land.

![]() It's good to see many people using the International leagues too and they are not being forgotten about! I really wanted to start in Italy/Nederlands but I don't think I'm good enough for the low level.. I think it will be either Orix Buffalo or Sumsung in Korea for my first start |

I want to thank all you guys for playing with the international leagues. I know about a year or so ago when Lukas and I discussed the idea, we were both pretty excited about it and hoped it would be well received. We have so much more in store for you all, as we do a little work on them everyday to improve them.

I'm setting up some international leagues, including academy leagues representing each continent/region. The player distribution would be tilted towards countries of known talent, tradition and population. However, in theory a prospect from Moldova or Nauru would be eligible to be drafted into one of these leagues. If they impress the scouts, they could join the majors one day.
The tricky step to setting up these leagues is the weekend schedules. I wish OOTP had an option for game days or the ability to transfer games to a different date. Guess I could do that by exporting, editing the XML and importing.

Good point about the weekend games, that would be useful when creating small scale leagues. Especially the UK system. |

I use all leagues. I worked on the *** rosters for Beta. Right now I'm updating salaries for that league. I also happen to know that the Italian and Dutch leagues are really getting an overhaul roster-wise for one of the upcoming patches. No clue when it will be out though.

Sounds great Lukas, what quality of ball is there in Germany anyway?? I'm curious to know. It was a great idea to have the international leagues in the game this year, here's hoping there's more of them in the game next year.

Satchel Paige played in every spot on God's green earth that offered a mound, a crowd and a paycheck. And he wasn't picky about the mound or the crowd.
If all you know about baseball history is the Ken Burns film, you're really missing out. There are a million great stories just from the barnstorming tours that Paige and Bob Feller put together. Highly recommend his autobiography (though not as literal history ... Satch was an entertainer, and fish stories were part of the show). Last edited by frangipard; 05-01-2014 at 09:26 AM. |
